Job Description:

• Develop a system to interface with an MRI console and PACS server (DICOM protocol)

• Automate downloading, anonymizing, and storing of medical imaging data

• Transfer data to a high-performance computing (HPC) cluster

• Maintain a basic metadata tracking system (database)

Technologies Involved:

• Python (pydicom, pynetdicom, nibabel, paramiko)

• Medical imaging formats (DICOM, NIfTI)

• Scripting for data transfer and processing

• (Optional) Docker, databases (PostgreSQL/MongoDB), SLURM

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python

• Basic understanding of network communication and data handling

• Independence, reliability, and willingness to learn

• Bonus: experience with DICOM, HPC, or medical imaging
